Good Vibes and Art

I am an artist and widow sending out good vibrations, rocks, and an opportunity to share in the stories of these rocks to those who find them.

Aside from leaving my fun, good vibe rocks for you to find, I am a professional artist. I do commission work - painting (rocks or canvas), illustrations or pencil portraiture and offer creative consultation and collaboration in other creative mediums.

Why am I doing this? 

In 2014, our world was deeply altered when we learned my partner was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. 

In 2015, after recuperating from surgery and initial treatments, my partner and I had the opportunity to travel a bit around Europe. We quickly adapted to using trains and public transportation to help us get around the countries we visited. When we came back home to Utah, we did our best to maintain that same spirit and used TRAX and FrontRunner whenever we could. 

One day, while walking home from a train station, my partner found a rock and followed a social media address on the back of the rock where we found a group of people who painted and left rocks around various locations for others to find.  

For a couple years, during our slower days (generally after chemo), we found creative ways to pass the time, including painting our own rocks with the intention of sending positive messages out into the world and leaving them for others to find. 

Seven years ago, on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2018, I lost my partner to complications from ovarian cancer.

For the last couple years, I have chosen this simple form of art therapy to help keep her love of people and her memory alive by continuing to paint rocks (often in themes or objects that she would like), and, on Valentine's Day, hop on the train(s) and leave rocks around for people to find them. 

My hope is that my rocks are found by the people that need them most, and, if they have the time and curiosity, that they will come to this website and share their story of how or where they found them.
